Community Childcare of Manchester

We are so excited to get outside and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine!

Child care centers in our area received eight grants totaling $26,400. Areas i include Clayton, Delaware, Dubuque and Jackson counties. The grants came from a ...partnership between Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque and Morgridge Family Foundation based in Colorado, to "expand and empower child care providers" in a total of six counties in which the community foundation hosts local affiliate foundations, and can be used in response to challenges such as needing additional cleaning supplies and personal protective equipment; lost revenue due to closures; finding and retaining staff; and decreased enrollment. The local recipients were: Kids Kampus Community Childcare, Guttenberg Garnavillo Community Daycare The Kid Project Community Child Care Center, Dyersville Community Childcare of Manchester Andrew Little Leaders Daycare Little Shepard Daycare, Maquoketa

High-quality child care is important: 90 percent of a child’s brain develops in the first five years of life, and studies show that children who have quality ca...re prior to kindergarten have improved school readiness skills and are more likely to graduate from high school and succeed later in life. COVID-19 has had a major impact on child care providers and families. Community Childcare of Manchester was the recipient of a 2020 COVID-19 Relief Grant to provide financial assistance to families who have been financially impacted by Covid-19. Child care is critical to ensuring families can thrive. Dependable, quality care allows parents to focus on their careers resting assured that their children are having enriching experiences and education.
