Friends of Ankeny Miracle Park/Inclusive Playground/Miracle League Field

Recently, Tennessee resident Hunter visited his grandparents in Ankeny and enjoyed spending time at Miracle Park. He had lots of great hits, including this one! Nice job, Hunter! We hear he enjoyed the playground, too.

Volunteers with the Ankeny Miracle League program have heavy hearts today after learning yesterday of the passing of one of our key volunteers and dear friends. Jim Hallihan will be remembered by Miracle League players and families as a game announcer, most often announcing the 10am and 11am youth games, but at times announcing throughout the day or pitching. Jim also served as a member of the Ankeny Miracle League Steering Committee -- the group of community volunteers who, ...along with project partners Ankeny Kiwanis Club and City of Ankeny - Government, fundraised over years to be able to build Ankeny Miracle Park and to create the Miracle League in Ankeny.
