Oh, what a special day it was.....one that is one of our favorites of the year! On Wednesday, our Fight With Flash Foundation got to go to the University of Iow...a Stead Family Children’s Hospital and take lunch for all the oncology nurses & staff, give cash & gift cards to 22 patients/families who are having to spend the holidays in the hospital this season. It was so incredibly heartwarming, rewarding & exciting feeling to also be able to present our BIG check to the AYA (Adolescent Young Adult) Cancer Program for......drum roll please...................... $100,022!!! We are overjoyed to be able to deliver this amount! Our hearts are filled spending time with all the amazing nurses, doctors, & child life staff & the hospital! We have such joy as we know that Austin is smiling down on us for carry out his wish to help the kids who are having to fight the horrible disease. There could never be enough thanks for all the sweat & tears that our FWF Foundation Board, Committee members & volunteers put in this past year! Our hearts are filled with the wonderful giving people that have supported us & helped us go from the beginning $22,000 in 2015 to $60,022 in 2016 to our record breaking year in 2017! The FWF Foundation wants to wish everyone Happy Holidays & hope that everyone gets to spend lots of time with their families & friends! Goodfellow Printing is looking for program sellers for the Iowa Women's basketball games this upcoming season. The commitment is for 1 1/2 hours at all home games. You would start selling 70 minutes prior to tipoff and be done approximately 15 minutes after tipoff. This is a great opportunity to earn a little extra spending cash and see the exciting Iowa women's basketball team play for free this fall.
