On March 20th, 50 years ago, Iowa ratified the 26th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which lowered the voting age from 21 to 18. In Iowa, 17-year-olds are eligible to register to vote. Students can begin the process by visiting sos.iowa.gov/RegisterToVote.
