We celebrate our medical transcriptionists today for their contributions as healthcare documentation specialists who ensure our patients have complete and accurate health records. This said, there are many healthcare professionals who contribute to the integrity of the medical record, so the national recognition has become Healthcare Documentation Integrity Week. Celebrate with us!

Meet our new medical director and a medical oncologist/hematologist, Dr. Matthew Obinna Nwaneri. Dr. Nwaneri joins us from practicing at the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center in Iowa City and teaching medical students at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. We are very excited to welcome Dr. Nwaneri to Siouxland and our cancer center. With more than 32 years of clinical and administrative experience, his work has focused on breast cancer care, female gynecological cancers (cervical and ovarian), lung cancer, and improving cancer care access. A big thank you to Delivering Hope - Chemo Comfort Care Bags. Started by Rachel in honor of her grandma, now her family, friends, and additional supporters are involved in this cause that impacts patients and lets them know someone cares for them.
