Are you interested in beekeeping but don't have the time or space to set up a colony of your own? Have you wanted to find a way to contribute to the increasing problems our native habitats face? Consider sponsoring a beehive and help support our pollinators and their habitats in a new way. We will add a hive for you to our apiary here at Treasure Acres, manage the colony for you, give updates on the progress of the bee yard, along with photos of your bees at work. As a bonus,... you will receive a portion of the harvestable honey from your hive at the end of the season! (10 jars minimum) Enjoy the fun and benefits of beekeeping without the chance of being stung. For more information about our farm and hive sponsorship call or text me, John Seiser, at 515 835-2466. You can also message me through our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Treasure-Acres All hive sponsorships include: Printable hive sponsorship certificate - great for gifting! Honey from your hive mailed or delivered to you after harvest in the fall/early winter, usually October-November. (If your hive does not produce any excess honey, the honey will be shared from one of the nearby hives within the apiary.) Your name added to the thank you list on our website Full size Colony Design & paint your beehive spring 2021 10 jars of honey with a customized label with your family or business name (additional can be purchased as well) GREAT GIFTS! Cost: $200

These sows are pretty smart! -17 and -35 wind chill, so they made a nest about 3 foot high, on south side where window lets in sunshine for heat. They even drug one my tarps off of a tank and included in their nest! The black one is probably 330 lbs and I couldn’t even see her when I first went in.
